About

This is a blog about the futility of school. My goal is to show that school can and does cause problems. When I talk about school, I don’t usually mean University but schooling prior to that. Please note that when you are reading the quotes that some people see “education” as synonymous with “schooling”, definition wise. Tell me if I have said any rubbish, so that I can either explain how it’s not rubbish, or remove it from the blog.

There is a distinction between education and schooling. Schooling drains a person of curiosity and develops ignorance, while education gives rise to independent thought and forms the internal combustion engine of society.

David this seems to be a major exaggeration, well most of it, one thing i would like to know is that if you despise school so much why are you only changing schools and not dropping out? If school is so useless then why dont you drop out and go to TAFE?
oh and David don’t say this is a delusion as it is not.

Harry, if I were to quit school, what would become of me?
Society regards school as THE instrument to test the aptitude of people, so positions in the working force can be distributed effectively. So if I were to quit school, I would end up with a terrible job with terrible pay; it’s unfortunate school is seen as good. If it weren’t and I could get the job I want without attending it, I would have sprinted for the door.

And hey, I’m not even old enough to leave. It’s exactly one year from now until I can quit.
